A Brief Introduction
1. Islam means "Submission to God".
2. Muslim means "Submitted to God".
Allah is the one and only true God, the Creator of the Universe. There is no complicated Trinity. God is not three or two or four. Allah is one God. There is no other besides Him. Allah wants humans to act justly and live honurable lives, to love on e another, to help each other, and be especially good to your parents and your family. West can see family is at the heart of muslim community. It is an essential teaching of Islam. Muslims obey God and remain together with their families. Children love their parents and serve them in old age. That is what God teaches human beings in His holy book the Koran.
To guide us, Allah choses holy men to provided for us role models. They give us an example of how to live a beautiful happy life. We read and find out the best way of living. We follow their model and then we achieve life of contentment. Prophet Muhammed one such messenger chosen by God to guide us all.
Why do so many women in the west convert to Islam?
When a woman submits her will to the will of God, then she is a muslim.
God has commanded human beings to submit to His will. This is so that they can have a better life. God has created everything, the whole universe. He is our Creator. Therefore, God knows best what is good for His Creation and what is harmful for it.
Women who love truly God, and who really like His laws, it is they who find peace and harmony in their lives. God has revealed to us that which He wants from us. We are not left in the dark.
The supreme will of God is found in His own pure book, the Holy Koran.
God sent Angel Gabriel to reveal the Koran to Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.
Prophet Mohammad became the divine messenger after God chose him to teach humanity the will of their Creator. He was born in 570. He died in 632. Muslim pilgrims visit his grave in Saudi Arabia to show their respects and allegiance.
The Koran has 114 chapters (surahs). Some chapters are short contining only three sentences, while some are up to ten pages long. The whole Koran is same size as an average small book. Its only when Arabic and commentary is added to the Koran does it look large and bulky.
Koran is not like the usual books. It is God's own work. Its structure is unique. God writes as He pleases. He introduces new subject suddenly and sometimes, like all good teachers, puts you to the test to show you your own level of sincerity. The person with impure intentions never reaches satisfication. The genuine seekers of truth have much to gain. The closed minded men waste their precious time in vain.
Only true believers understand what its all about.
